Understanding Webtrends Reports


Course Description

This workshop is designed to help you maximize the value of Webtrends by teaching your end users how to effectively interpret the information in the Webtrends reports you use. An experienced Webtrends consultant will review your report data with your technical and business users to teach you what the statistics mean and why they are important to you.

Depending on the Webtrends package you have purchased, you may have a smaller or larger set of reports to cover in class. Webtrends offers three variations of this course: Standard (4 hours), Marketing (6 hours), and Commerce (8 hours). Note, this course covers built-in Webtrends reports and does not cover any custom reports you may have designed. Additional consulting hours will be required to cover custom reports that you desire to have reviewed in the class.

Course Description

In Webtrends for Technical Professionals: Essentials, you will learn how to configure and implement the base functionality provided in WebTrends Analytics 8.5. This class is designed for technical professionals who are responsible for configuring Webtrends features to produce reports required by business users and other Webtrends end users in the organization.


The class utilizes multiple training methodologies such as lecture, discussion, demonstration, and hands-on exercises to promote learning. You will learn how to configure profiles, filters, templates, and a wide array of reporting features. In addition, the class focuses on using SmartSource Data Collection (SDC) and will describe the SDC JavaScript tag and Webtrends query parameters available to enhance reporting options.

In Webtrends for Technical Professionals: Custom Reporting, you will learn how to configure and implement custom reporting features to create advanced reports to meet the specific needs of your organization.

Prerequisite

Webtrends for Technical Professionals: Essentials or equivalent experience. Student must be able to configure profiles, create and manage data sources, use filters and configure advanced features such as content groups and path analysis. Student must have 3-6 months experience working with the Webtrends product.


Class Requirement

Customers must have the Advanced Marketing or Commerce Package to have the ability to create custom reports.

Webtrends Certified Analytics Training Program


Course Description

The Certified Analytics Training Program is an intensive four-day training session followed by a certification exam on the fifth day. This course addresses the technical fundamentals and custom reporting knowledge required to support Webtrends solutions.

Exam Details

The exam occurs on the fifth day of training. To gain certification, an individual must pass the exam with an 85% or better.

The exam consists of two parts. The first part of the exam contains 25 multiple-choice questions. The second part of the exam is a practical component that consists of 5 tasks which must be performed in the Webtrends software. Each part of the exam counts for 50% of the exam score.

Prerequisite

None
If an individual fails the exam, there is no refunding of the fee. Individuals may choose to pay to take the exam a second time. If the exam is failed twice the individual cannot be certified on the current release of the product.

The preferred path is to complete the full training program, which will enable individuals to learn key skills required to successfully pass the exam. For those individuals who feel they have all the relevant experience required, we do offer the exam-only option.
