Crossbeam training and education classes are designed with customers and partners in mind. The classes are developed by Crossbeam certified professionals and offer a unique learning opportunity that combines hands-on workshops and exercises with group discussions and formal lectures. Offerings range from technical training courses that introduce the core features of Crossbeam platforms to advanced modules that cover configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting techniques. Courses range in duration from one to three days, with prerequisites and program objectives clearly defined.

Crossbeam has qualified best-in-class Authorised Training Partners (ATP) across Europe to aid in the delivery of Crossbeam training classes for the C-Series and X-Series operating systems.

Each of the ATP instructors have successfully passed the Crossbeam ATP certification, ensuring the information you receive to is up-to-date.

Crossbeam COS Principles of Operation

This one-day course covers the Crossbeam COS architecture, features and how to install C-Series. It covers the basic steps involved in setting up a Check Point firewall on C-Series and provides hands-on training to monitor and troubleshoot the Crossbeam C-Series platforms.


Prerequisites

Delegates should have a good working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, routing, and security technologies, a basic knowledge of the World Wide Web, Web browsers, Web servers, Instant Messaging, and the HTTP protocol and a basic knowledge of Authentication protocols (LDAP, NTLM, Radius). Delegates should also have a working knowledge of Check Point NGX and Smart Dashboard.


Who Should Attend

This course is designed for: Technical Support Engineers providing service level support. System Engineers performing demonstrations. Security Administrators deploying Crossbeam products.


Objectives

Delegates attending this course will be able to:

  • Understand Crossbeam Solutions architecture and how to deploy its various applications and components
  • Enable and manage security applications on the Crossbeam platform
  • Enable high availability features on Crossbeam platform
  • Enable high performance IDS sensors using Crossbeam TAP interfaces
  • Administer and troubleshoot Crossbeam solutions

In the presentations and labs the delegate will gain hands-on experience in:

  • C SERIES basic configurations
  • Setting up all high availability features such as VRRP
  • Establishing basic FireWall1 security policies on Crossbeam C Series platforms
  • Setting up multi-applications environment such as FireWall1, Anti Virus and IDS applications on Crossbeam COS platforms
  • Troubleshooting and debugging the COS environment
  • Management of the Crossbeam Solutions (Software upgrade, GUI management)

Crossbeam XOS Specialist

This three-day course covers the Crossbeam XOS architecture, features and installation. It covers the basic steps involved in setting up a multi security application platform. In addition, it provides-hands on training to configure, monitor and troubleshoot the crossbeam X series platforms.



Prerequisites

Delegates should have a good working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, routing, and security technologies, a basic knowledge of the World Wide Web, Web browsers, Web servers, Instant Messaging, and the HTTP protocol and a basic knowledge of Authentication protocols (LDAP, NTLM, Radius). Delegates should also have a working knowledge of Check Point NGX and Smart Dashboard.


Who Should Attend

This course is designed for technical support engineers providing service level support, system engineers performing demonstrations and security administrators deploying Crossbeam products.

 

Objectives

Delegates attending this course will be able to:

  • Understand Crossbeam Solutions architecture and how to deploy its various applications and components
  • Enable, manage and effectively deploy security applications on the Crossbeam platform

Crossbeam VSX Workshop

Prerequisites

Delegates should have a good working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, routing, and security technologies, a basic knowledge of the World Wide Web, Web browsers, Web servers, Instant Messaging, and the HTTP protocol and a basic knowledge of Authentication protocols (LDAP, NTLM, Radius). Delegates should also have a good working knowledge of Check Point NGX and Smart Dashboard, probably gained over two years of experience. Delegates should have an awareness of Provider-1 functionality.


Who Should Attend

This course is designed for technical support engineers providing service level support, system engineers performing demonstrations and security administrators deploying VSX on Crossbeam products.
